ZAZEN MEDITATION EXPERIENCE

Korin-in Temple surprisingly features a modern Japanese-style mansion in the Sukiya-zukuri style and it was founded in 1608 by the Zen priest Gensho Kubayaki. Nowadays it is opened to public during short periods only, in particular in spring and fall. It is a sub-temple of Daitoku-ji, the head Temple of Rinzai Sect (Kyoto) in the Higashiyama Area in Kyoto founded in 1598 by Nene after the death of his husband, the shogun Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Zazen Meditation Experience is held at Korin-in Temple as well as Gesshin-in Temple, which was founded in 1617.
