Do you know that Seki blades boast 700 years of history?
Seki is a rural city that is surrounded by mountains and flowing rivers, which provide both good conditions and ingredients for creating the best blades in the world. In fact, Seki, is renowned all over the world for its blade production along with Germany`s Solingen and England`s Sheffield.
In the past, Seki blades were famous above all among samurai warriors, who described these unique blades as per “incredibly sharp, never break or bend”. Nowadays there are 10 active swordsmiths, who produce kitchen and hunting knives, finger nail clippers etc..
Through this rare experience you will learn about the history and philosophy of Japanese sword making and, after watching a demonstration, hands-on and experience forging the iron with a hammer under the guidance of an expert swordsmith who will help you in crafting your sword. Please note that you will not be able to take the sword home.
