SAMURAI ARMOR WEARING EXPERIENCE

The Warring States Period is called Sengoku Jidai (1467-1615) in Japan and it features a lot of civil wars. Japanese people love this period, especially because three most powerful warlords appear, also known as the three unifiers of Japan: Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu. Instead of the European armors, which were made of pure steel, Samurai armors were made of iron, leather and boiled fabric because the steel was scarce and very expensive.

In this experience you will have the opportunity of choosing your favorite armor and wear it to feel like a real Sengoku Warlord at Kouzu Shoukai, a famous company that have been involved in the production of historical movies and television. It also collaborates in festival and events such as the renowned “Jidai Gyoretsu” (historical festival) held in Kyoto annually held on 22nd October, which features a cultural procession performed by 2000 people dressed in historical costumes.

You can also choose other outfits such as the ninja one or the elegant ones from other periods, for example the ancient Nara Period (710-794). Moreover, the staff will be happy to consult with you personally in order to meet your requests and of course it will provide costume, wig, makeup and also props. You will learn about Sengoku Era and how to draw and hold your sword as well.
