Ikebana(Japanese Flower Arrangement) Experience

On May 24, we held a special Ikebana workshop with participants from Japan, Egypt, Vietnam, and Mexico, even a samurai joined us!

Led by the passionate instructor Ms. Keiko Oya,
we learned about the history of Ikebana and its cultural roots.

She demonstrated the elegant “Nageire” technique before we tried it ourselves.

Using seasonal flowers and branches, everyone created their own arrangements, blending Western floral design with Japanese aesthetics.

Though we used the same materials, each piece reflected its creator’s unique style.

As Ms. Oya said, “The joy is in the time spent arranging flowers.”

It was a calming and inspiring time, filled with beauty and creativity.

Thank you to all who joined!
